About the Job
Axiom Memory Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing a variety of accounting responsibilities while working closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations.
The Senior Accountant will play an important role in month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, tax reporting, audits, and maintaining the accuracy of the company's general ledger.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with monthly and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, detailed schedules, and financial analyses.
- Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile general ledger, sub-ledger, and intercompany accounts.
- Manage fixed assets.
- Research state sales tax and IRS 1099 reporting requirements.
- Prepare sales tax and property tax returns and annual 1099 filings.
- Assist with annual financial and bank audits, including preparing requested documentation.
- Support financial and management reporting and audited financial statement preparation.
- Help monitor internal accounting controls and company policies.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and other departments on accounting-related activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Intermediate to advanced experience with Sage 100, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting software.
- Ability to work effectively across departments and build strong working relationships.
Work Environment:
This is an onsite position in a professional office environment. Reliable onsite attendance is an essential function of the position.
